Hanks play Jimmy Dugan manager Girls Professional Baseball team in a very funny comedy whcih had a great list of costars such as Geena Davis, Rosie O' Donnell, Madonna, and Lori Petty and was directed by Laverne and Shirley star Penny Marshall.
Cast Away
This movie showed that Hank's could handle a lot of lines and reading and was givin a lot of positive reviews by critics and made a cool $429 million dollars in the box office.
Splash
it's a romantic comedy as a man played by Tom Hanks falls in love with a mermaid and it started his film career.
That Thing You Do!
This movie follows the rise and fall of a rock group even thought Hanks didn't have a lot of screen this was his first movie he wrote and directed.

it went down as one of the year's most successful films, piling up over $150 million in money and earned Hanks some desperately needed box office mojo after his appearances in other movies went bad.

Hanks plays an FBI agent in this thrilling drama trying to catch a master of deception and forger named Frank Abagnale Jr. (Leonardo Di Caprio) who would became one of the most successful bank robbers in history.
Toy Story 2 and Toy Story
sequel to another one of his best movies Toy Story you will see why I didn't put it on my list seperately these were two of my most favorite movies growing up.

One of the best movies he ever made it was a comedy where he played a man who has a disbility and is borderline mentally retarded but loves to run and running gets him a lot in the movielike he becomes a football player at the university of alabama, he joins the military, he runs around the country, and becomes a captian of a successful shrimping business
