Wanted - by who?
December 3rd 2008 08:42
Thanks to living in "still a Third world country movie zone", I only got to see WANTED last night. Sadly, I wish I had not. Yes awesome SFX but very sleepy performances and even more sleepy screenplay. One would think if having Angelina Jolie with a gun and Morgan Freeman with "supreme being" crutch would fire up the screen but no such luck.
Also since the basic premise was kind of supernatural, they should have "weaved" a bit more around that. You can't throw real world non existing extra ordinary concepts at the audience so casually and not bother to explain or draw them in.
Also who is this James McAvoy? I mean why is he not in sesame street instead of a mainstream Hollywood film??? is Hollywood too falling short of leading men? I mean they might as well have taken an extra. Very bad casting.
Basically I didnt care much for anyone or anything in this film. I would have been okay if this was a screener by some special effects studio or stunt co-ordinator trying to sell me their services but as a film - this was really boring and sleepy. yawn...double yawn
